I've just read Joel's story. I can't imagine, in the same situation, that I would be able to find the strength to put my thoughts onto a blog, or a piece of paper, etc. I think I would seriously go outside somewhere and scream "Why this crap God?" And I'm more than sure God would understand. An amazingly brave family.
